Privacy & confidentiality

Your information should be handled with care.

This notice explains how Connect Legal Consulting handles information provided during intake and the professional-connection process.

Our privacy commitments

Connect Legal Consulting treats intake information as confidential business information and uses it to provide the services requested, communicate with the client, organize the factual intake, research potential professional connections, and coordinate an authorized introduction.

We do not sell client intake information.

We do not sell a client’s case story or intake information to attorneys or other professionals. Attorneys do not pay Connect for an individual referral.

Client authorization before synopsis sharing.

When an attorney connection includes transmission of a detailed factual synopsis or identifying case information, Connect will obtain the client’s authorization as part of the connection process before sending that synopsis to a prospective attorney, except where disclosure is otherwise required by law.

Sensitive information.

General website forms and ordinary email should not be used to transmit Social Security numbers, full financial-account numbers, passwords, medical records, children’s sensitive records, evidence files, or other highly sensitive documents. When those materials are genuinely needed for the service, a more appropriate transmission method should be arranged.

Attorney-client privilege.

Connect Legal Consulting LLC is not a law firm. Information provided to Connect is therefore not represented as automatically protected by attorney-client privilege. If an independent attorney forms an attorney-client relationship with a client, confidentiality and privilege relating to that representation are governed by applicable law and the attorney’s professional obligations.

Independent professionals.

Information shared with an attorney, mediator, or investigator is subject to that independent professional’s own privacy, confidentiality, record-retention, and engagement practices.

Applicable law.

Connect intends to maintain reasonable administrative and operational practices for handling personal information and to comply with applicable law. Clients should contact Connect promptly if they believe information has been sent in error or should not be shared further.

Important information: Connect Legal Consulting LLC is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal opinions. An intake, payment, synopsis, search, or introduction does not create an attorney-client relationship. Attorneys, mediators, and investigators are independent professionals who control their own professional judgment, conflicts review, acceptance decisions, engagement terms, services, licensing obligations, and fees.
