Why this is different
Clients are often at their most overwhelmed when they first need a lawyer.
Important facts can be difficult to explain when someone is angry, scared, exhausted, or dealing with a complicated family or financial situation.
We provide a structured place to tell the story. We gather factual information, organize the chronology, note reported deadlines and documents, and prepare a synopsis of what the client has told us. We do not determine legal claims, defenses, rights, or strategy.

What the $179 service includes
More than a name and a phone number.
The $179 is a Connect Legal Consulting service fee. It is not an attorney fee, is not shared with an attorney, and does not guarantee that any attorney will accept the matter.
Participating attorneys & outside searches
We look for fit, not simply availability.
Connect may develop relationships with participating independent attorneys across different practice areas. No attorney pays Connect for an individual referral, and participation is not conditioned on an attorney referring business back to Connect.
When a participating attorney does not appear appropriate—or a matter requires different experience, geography, or availability—we can search outside the participating network.
Our goal is to make a thoughtful introduction to an attorney who appears suited to evaluate the matter and who values the opportunity to build a professional relationship with the client.
The attorney independently decides whether to consult with or represent the prospective client. Connect cannot guarantee an attorney’s performance, outcome, availability, or acceptance.
Enhanced support options
Complexity sometimes requires additional work.
The base service includes one comprehensive intake, synopsis preparation, focused research, initial outreach, and connection coordination. Optional add-ons apply only when additional work is requested or reasonably required and approved in advance.
Broader geography, specialty research, or an additional outreach round.
Additional nonlegal fact organization and targeted attorney research for highly fact-intensive parenting or child-welfare matters.
Additional organization and targeted research when business interests, significant assets, or complicated finances affect the attorney search.
Priority handling for unusually short timeframes, subject to availability and without guaranteeing attorney acceptance.

Am I paying $179 just for a referral?
No. The base service covers Connect’s structured intake, factual organization, synopsis preparation, focused attorney research, initial outreach, and connection coordination. Attorney fees are separate.
Does Connect decide what legal claims I have?
No. Connect organizes the facts you report. An independent attorney determines legal issues, rights, defenses, advice, and strategy.
Does the attorney pay Connect?
Connect does not charge an attorney for an individual client referral and does not receive a percentage of an attorney’s fee, recovery, settlement, or judgment.
Will my information be confidential?
Connect treats intake information as confidential business information and limits sharing to the purpose authorized by the client or as otherwise required by law.
